Automatic Transmission Incorrectly Manufactured
Jan 01,2006

It is possible that on a limited number of Discovery 3/LR3, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport automatic vehicles within the above VIN ranges, the parking pawl guide plate within the transmission may not have been
manufactured correctly. Consequently Park may not engage when the gear selector lever is moved to the 'P' (Park) position although all indicators will show that the Park position is achieved. If the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle may roll away.

Not all vehicles in the VIN range are affected by this action.

Action:
Land Rover has taken the decision to Recall all affected vehicles for the parking pawl guide plate to be renewed.
