Incorrect Throttle Operation
Mar 22,2004
3,267 Discovery II V8s sold between Jan. 27, 2003, and March 26, 2003, had been found to have a problem with the throttle that could potentially leave it engaged at high speeds.

No accidents have been reported due to that problem either.

Owners of cars affected by the potential faults should be contacted by Land Rover's authorized dealers with the offer of free checks and remedial work.

The manufacturer assures customers that the risk of failure is small and that there have been no recorded accidents or injuries as a result of the potential failures.
