Diesel Fuel Pipe Chafe
Dec 12,2004
A concern has been identified on a number of Discovery Series II Td5 vehicles within the below VIN range. Investigations have determined that a potential exists for the rear fuel line to chafe against the ABS/water sensor harness and fuel pump harness. Prolonged chafing could result in a fuel leak from the main fuel feed line that could lead to the vehicle failing to start.

Action:
All vehicles in the below VIN range will require the removal of convolute tubing and replacement with smooth pvc tape, change of fuel feed line, and the re-routing of the harness to the sides of the fuel line.

Land Rover has taken the decision to recall all vehicles in the below VIN range to install a fuel line harness kit.
