Left Hand Break Hose Failure
Dec 08,2004
CAUSE:
Incorrect hose tightening procedure during vehicle manufacture.

ACTION:
Recall the affected vehicles and inspect the LHF brake hose. There must be 25mm clearance between the brake hose and the wheel rim, when the wheels are on full left hand lock and the vehicle is at kerb weight and on the ground. Replace the hose if the clearance is less than 25 mm. Never attempt to reposition a hose which has been incorrectly routed, the hose will have become set in the shape it has taken.
